BUPERS assignment managing CWT career paths
NCDT Sea Duty: Navy Cyber Defense Teams (NCDT) offer DCO afloat on CSG and ARG staffs.
CWTs can earn ESWS/EAWS and are expected to receive at least one warfare qualification.
CSG4/15 CWTs rapidly augment for dynamically certifying multiple afloat units.
Career Enhancement: Special duty assignments like DEVGRU, SRTs, JCOG, JCU, WHCA, and CQTT
are considered career enhancing and demanding tours. Subsequent tours within these programs should not be looked at unfavorably.
These assignments often involve extensive deployment/TDY and may provide opportunity to qualify EXWS.
